Indian Register Quality Systems (IRQS) describes itself as the first Indian certification body, established as a division of Indian Register of Shipping. Its site states that IRCLASS Systems and Solutions Pvt Ltd is now ISSPL Limited, effective 4 May 2026. For the food and beverage sector it lists ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS Food Safety, FAMI-QS for specialty feed ingredients and GMP certification, along with FSSAI third-party audits, food safety training and sustainability standards.
IRQS reports a client base of more than 12,000 organisations, over 42 offices worldwide, more than 280 auditors and over 1,300 employees. It lists accreditation from NABCB in India, RvA in the Netherlands and ANAB in the United States, and recognition from BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and FAMI-QS. Its corporate headquarters is in Powai, Mumbai.
