Pilgrim’s Europe agreed on 17 August 2026 to buy Walkers Deli & Sausage Company, whose Leicester operation employs approximately 1,150 people, from Samworth Brothers, subject to CMA approval and employee consultation. It makes sausages, sliced cooked meats, cooked bacon, snacking products and pâté.
