The data covers allergen, nutrition and technical information. Erudus says the service began in 2007, when it started taking product specifications from manufacturers, and that it was formed as an official company in 2014. It is registered as Erudus Limited with an address at Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Tools listed on the site include Technical Data Search, Allergen and Nutritional Data Search, Recipe Builder, Menu Planner, Image Hub, APIs and a connector for Akeneo PIM. The company states that it is Cyber Essentials certified and an accredited member of the North East Chamber of Commerce. The site also shows partner logos for the Federation of Wholesale Distributors and the Scottish Wholesale Association.
