Barry Callebaut is a Zurich-based manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products. It describes itself as a leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, coatings and chocolate alternatives, and says it also makes premium chocolates, fillings and decorations. Callebaut is named as its main global brand.
The group says it employs over 13,000 people and runs more than 60 production facilities worldwide, with annual sales of about CHF 14.8 billion in fiscal year 2024/25.
Barry Callebaut is ranked 28th in Food Engineering’s 2026 Top 100 Food and Beverage Companies, which lists its food sales at $18,634 million (CHF 14,789 million) for the year to August 2025. It ranked 46th on the 2025 list.
