Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a dairy cooperative headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas. It describes itself as “a leading global dairy cooperative owned by family dairy farmers” and says it has 9,000 farmer-owners. The cooperative operates dairy manufacturing plants, offices and labs across the United States, and its products include fluid and flavoured milk, cheese, butter, cottage cheese, sour cream, ice cream and evaporated milk.
Its consumer brands include DairyPure, TruMoo, Borden Cheese, Cache Valley Creamery, Friendly’s, Kemps and Plugrà Premium Butter. Dennis Rodenbaugh is President and Chief Executive Officer.
DFA is ranked 23rd in Food Engineering’s 2026 Top 100 Food and Beverage Companies, which lists its food sales at $23,016 million for the year to December 2024. The DFA pages reviewed did not describe operations in India or the United Kingdom.
