Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. de C.V. is a baking company that began operating in Mexico in 1945. It says it has more than 152,000 employees and operates in 39 countries, and its product categories include sliced bread, buns and rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies, English muffins, bagels, tortillas and flatbreads, and salty snacks. The company says it went public in the 1980s on the Mexico National Stock Exchange. Daniel Javier Servitje Montull is Executive Chair.
In India, Grupo Bimbo says it arrived in 2017 through the acquisition of East Balt Bakeries and sells the Harvest Gold, Kitty and Modern brands. Its UK brands include New York Bakery.
Grupo Bimbo is ranked 22nd in Food Engineering’s 2026 Top 100 Food and Beverage Companies, which lists its food sales at $23,687 million (426,952 million pesos) for the year to December 2025.
