The Oetker Group is a family-owned German group whose management holding company, Dr. August Oetker KG, is based in Bielefeld, where pharmacist Dr. August Oetker founded the business in 1891. The group has three divisions: Food; Beer and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, through the Radeberger Group; and Other Interests and Services. Dr. Oetker, the food business, names pizza, cake and dessert as its core areas.
In the UK, Dr. Oetker has operated since 2000, with a commercial head office in Leeds and a factory in Leyland, Lancashire. In India, the Dr. Oetker website, published in the name of Dr. Oetker India Pvt. Ltd., presents its range as FunFoods by Dr. Oetker.
The Oetker Group ranks 75th in Food Engineering’s 2026 Top 100 Food and Beverage Companies, which puts its food sales at $7,401 million (€6,308 million) for the year to December 2025.
